What is a Twitter Card?
The Twitter card is a rich media representation of your tweets which contains summary, videos, products, and images which you can apply according to your own.
The Twitter cards will help you to get more followers related to your niche. You have full control over how your tweets will be displayed in front of others and thus you will be able to bring more traffic to your website.
There are currently 6 different types of Twitter cards available that you can attach to your tweet so that you can also provide rich media experience to your audience.
Summary Card: This is the default Twitter card, which has a title, post description, thumbnail, and twitter username.
Photo Card: This is a small photo with a tweet.
Gallery Card: This is a card with a collection of 4 photos.
App Card: This twitter card shows the description of an application.
Player Card: This is a tweet with the media player.
Product Card: This card provides the description of any one product.

How to use Twitter Card?
You can enable twitter card for your website in three easy steps:
Step 1: You must first choose which card type you want to use for your blog from Twitter Card Catalog. If you want to see different card types in action then you can see Twitter Card Documentation.
Fill in the example title, description of your website, twitter username and creator of the website, URL, etc. as shown in the screenshot below:
Step 2: Select the Sample Meta Data Code and paste it inside the header. If you use the Genesis Framework, then you can paste this code directly in the Theme setting-> Header and Footer Script.
Step 3: Now it is your turn to test your Twitter card, for this, go to Twitter Card Validator and enter the domain name of your website, press enter and then click on the button of Request Approval. After this, a form will open in front of you as shown below, in this, you enter your details and then click on Register Domain.

Now you have to wait for a few weeks to get the approval of your website.

JM Twitter Cards: Simply add your website’s username, default image URL, and select the card type that you want to display. This plugin provides support for only two card types, Summary, and Photo. This disadvantage can be overcome by using the Meta tag method.
